Carbine Operator Level II
Course Description:

The objectives for this course are to reinforce the basic foundation of marksmanship while bringing the student to a higher advanced level of carbine manipulation while utilizing team work and communications.  Course topics include:

  • Reinforcing the fundamentals of marksmanship
  • Tactical communication
  • Action/reaction theories
  • Engaging targets at 90 - 180 degrees
  • Shooting on the move
  • Explosive movements and engagements
  • Weapon Transitions
  • Transitions
  • Single hand manipulations - reloads & malfunctions
  • Team muzzle manipulation
  • Fire & Movement
  • Gear placement & Selection
  • Combat mindset

Equipment/Gear:

  • Carbine/Rifle & Pistol
  • At least 5 magazines for carbine
  • At lest 3 magazines for pistol
  • Holster and mag pouches to hold at least 2 pistol magazines
  • Mag pouches, vest or chest rig to hold at least 4 carbine magazines
  • Clothing suitable for weather conditions
  • Eye & Ear protection (additional clear lenses for night shooting)
  • Hat is recommended for weather and shield from hot brass
  • knee/elbow pads (optional)
  • Water/food
  • Pen/paper
